How far apart should the hooks be?
Far enough that the handlebars clear each other. The track is adjustable for exactly this, and alternating hook heights lets bikes sit closer.
Does hanging a bike by one wheel damage it?
No. The rim and spokes carry the whole bike and rider when you ride it. The hooks are rubber coated so the rim is not scratched.
Which wheel should I hang it by?
Either. Front wheel up is the usual choice because the bike sits flatter to the wall.
Can it hold an e-bike?
The rail is rated for heavy loads, but an e-bike is much heavier than a road bike. Fix into studs or masonry, never plasterboard anchors alone.
Does it work in a rented apartment?
It needs holes in a wall. If you cannot drill, use the vertical bike rack or a floor stand instead.
How high should I mount it?
High enough that the lower wheel clears the floor and low enough that you can reach the hook comfortably. Hold the bike in place before you mark the holes.
